PCCA Collegiate Scholarship Opportunities

Iota Alpha, Texas State University

Omicron Alpha, St. Mary's University

Pi Sigma, University of Texas at Dallas

Each year, the Ellyn K. Bentz Maxwell Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a deserving Delta Zeta collegiate woman from Region XII. This  region represents Texas and New Mexico and encompasses chapters we know and support.

Ellyn Bentz Maxwell was a Delta Zeta from the Beta Tau chapter at Nebraska Wesleyan University and a founding member of the Plano-Collin County Alumnae Chapter. In 2005 Ellyn left this earth and an indelible mark on the hearts of her Delta Zeta sisters. Shortly after Ellyn's passing, PCCA elected to name its scholarship in her honor.

In February 2006 at Region Weekend, the first Ellyn K. Bentz Maxwell Memorial Scholarship was awarded to 3 recipients. Ellyn's husband, Robert Maxwell presented the scholarships in person.

These scholarship(s) have been awarded at the past six Region Weekends.  Amounts have ranged from $250 to $1,000.  Our chapter is very proud to be able to give these scholarship(s), and we appreciate your help in promoting this opportunity to our collegiate sisters. Each year PCCA raises money in various ways like raffles, garage sales, sporting events, and selling Poinsettia plants during the holidays. Since 2005, PCCA has awarded nearly $10,000 in scholarship funds, and we hope to continue this legacy. If you have missed the opportunity to purchase a plant this year, you can donate directly to the fund by clicking the donate button.

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a collegiate member to continue her studies while also continuing to fulfill the promise of our Creed and to grow her mind academically.

Any collegiate member in good standing with her chapter is eligible to apply.
