Founders Day Recap
Delta Zeta women from all over the Dallas Metroplex came out to celebrate 113 years of sisterhood. 65 ladies were in attendance representing the Plano-Collin County Alumnae Chapter, Dallas Alumnae Chapter, and collegiate Pi Sigma chapter of UTD. We dined on little finger sandwiches, fruit, and cookies as we connected with old friends and met some new ones.
Page Geach presented Leanna Robl with the Order of the Golden Rose for her 50 years with Delta Zeta. Leanna shared with us how she is still truly connected to a group of sisters from Emporia State University in Kansas. They continue to travel together up-and-down I-35 celebrating their bonds of sisterhood. Leanna reminded us that Delta Zeta really is for a lifetime!
Members from Pi Sigma presented a ceremony honoring our six founders and led the lighting of the candles. We recited our beloved creed and once again reminded ourselves of the commitments we made to Delta Zeta but most importantly to ourselves. We closed with Delta Zeta Lamps are Burning and a great group photograph!
Thank you to Regina Ockelmann for working so hard to make this special event happen. Much appreciation goes to Lisa Hjelm, Dallas Alumnae president for making the idea of a unified event celebrating our founders come true.
November Mix and Mingle asked the question, "Who Let the Dogs Out"...
It was great to see Ashley Graeber, Page Geach, Amy Gamble, Cheryl Couch, Jennifer Allen, and Twist Allen at the Katy Trail Ice House. Wondering who Twist is? She is a beautiful little lady with four legs, a heart-of-gold, and eyes that charm! It was an easy-going sisterhood event where we relaxed in the outside and enjoyed food and drink. Join the fun at our next Mix, Mingle, and Shop in November at the Chi Omega Christmas Market. WHO'S IN?

Join us January 21st for our Member Round-Up and Region Weekend Senior Showcase Prep. We'll share updates from the various officers, the results of the poinsettia sale, how much we will be giving towards scholarship (it's an exciting number), and what the plans are are for spring/summer, Then we will prep goodie bags to present our Delta Zeta seniors (the collegiate kind) at Region Weekend as we wish them well as they move into the next phase of their lives. Oh, and we'll eat too! WHO'S IN?
